What is Todd is New Each Moment?

Todd is New Each Moment is an electronic band in Brooklyn, NY and Athens, NY.

Glass Sword is Todd's newest fell-length release.

Todd is New Each Moment writes epic, vividly colorful songs. It is as if each song is a twelve-sided object, with fluorescent windows opening up to offer you synthetic fruit. Todd’s curated weirdness, subtle queerness, and unusual lyrical content puzzles listeners, yet they are enticed by Todd’s unique rainbow world.

TINEM is the project of Thomas Wilk and Bryan Hamill, a duo who have played in various projects together since 2000. Singer Jake Davidson collaborated with Todd on Glass Sword and sang the lead vocals for most of the album. Davidson has thememorable presence of David Byrne on stage and he croons like Scott Walker.

The tunes on Glass Sword are similar to what current indie-electro bands like Future Islands are putting out, yet Glass Sword also has new wave and punk sensibilities akin to Neue Deutsche Welle bands of the 1980s.

Todd is New Each Moment officially began in 2007 when Josh Malamy came to Albany, NY one weekend to record his album Deep Throat. TINEM also recorded a second album that weekend called Go Blondie! I will Always Love You!. Below are video blogs from that weekend:
